2 new voice lines required

  • Lines added to the account via COR or BAN-to-BAN moves, conversion from NCC/SCNC to normal Postpaid, and lines resumed from cancel do not qualify for this requirement.
  • If a customer canceled a voice line within the past 90 days (excluding CORs and No Installs), the line must be resumed before they can add a brand-new voice line to qualify.

Payout

  • Customers pay taxes and fees on the free line.
  • The free line bill credit starts within 2 bill cycles from activation.
  • Customers keep the credit for as long as they meet the promo requirements. 
  • Credit applies to the voice line charge only. Chargeable add-ons greater than $0 will be the customer’s responsibility to pay.

Paid lines required

At least 2 paid voice lines required

  • Lines receiving any discount except Insider cannot be used as the qualifying paid voice line (e.g. lines receiving Exclusive Hometown Discount or Magenta Complete: Sprint service discounts cannot be used as a paid voice line). 
  • Existing customers with 2+ voice lines must activate 2 new voice lines on their account (Important: Customers must have a qualifying existing BAN as of April 7, 2026, to be eligible for this promo).
  • Existing customers with HSI or BTS-only must add 2 paid voice line to their account  then activate 2 new voice lines.

Exception: Paid lines that qualified customers for the previous promos do not count towards the required paid line counts:

To keep this free line credit

  • To validate eligibility, a customer’s total number of active voice lines was captured on the promo's announce date of April 7, 2026. We add the number of newly-activated voice lines required for this promo, which includes the free line, to this number. That final, combined number of active voice lines must be maintained for at least 1 year after enrollment to continue receiving credits. 

    Example: 
    An account with 2 active voice lines on  April 7, 2026, must activate 2 new voice lines to enroll, and they do so on April 9, 2026. They must then maintain all voice lines for 1 full year after promo enrollment April 9, 2027).
  • After 1 year of enrollment, customers must keep at least 2 paid voice lines AND the free new line that was activated to enroll in this promo to continue to receive the credit.
  • No Install cancellations for voice lines will not impact the free line credits.

Review & take action

  1. Go over the promo details and these advisements with your customer so they understand what to do to get and keep this promo:

     Your credits should begin within your first bill cycle after activation, but in some cases, it may take up to 2 bill cycles to begin. If you don't see a credit on your first bill, don't worry. You'll see a double credit on your second bill.

    You will lose the free line credits if you cancel ANY voice lines on the account within 1 year of enrollment, including the new free line. After 1 year, you must keep at least 2 paid voice line along with the new free  voice lines activated under this promo to keep the free line credits

    If you cancel a voice line or change to an ineligible rate plan and lose your free line credits, you have 90 days to resume the canceled line or switch back to an eligible rate plan. You will not receive any credits that were missed.

  2. Confirm customer is on or changing to a qualifying rate plan.
  3. Help customers with their new account or new line activation.
     

T-Mobile for Business: Digital Checkout must be created and accepted within the promo period to qualify.

Reminders

  • Customers can find the Promo code and Bill name and their free line credits on their bill statement.
  • You can see the credits in the Frontline Promo Dashboard and in Samson on the Discount screen.
  • The free line credits discount codes for this promo are 26Q15S, 26Q15P and 26Q15F.
  • This promo is for a limited time only and subject to change and should be communicated to customers in this way.

 

FAQs

Customers shouldn't cancel an existing voice line with the intention of replacing it with a newly activated voice line to take advantage of this promo, even if the cancellation happens after the new voice line activation.

Customers should never be told to cancel lines, before or after a promotion, in an effort to qualify or justify a promotion. If a customer does not need additional lines, explore other promotions or discuss device price points. Driving CHURN to close sales is not the right thing to do.

The free line credit applies to newly activated lines with logic this way:

  • AAL lines with subscriber-level MRC receive the credit first before lines that are included in a family/pooled plan MRC 
  • Lines with lowest MRC receive the credit
  • If multiple lines have same lowest MRC, lines with earliest activation date/time receive the credit

It depends on the type of line and timing:

  • Paid lines can qualify for device promotions (including monthly bill credits) at activation and on future upgrades, if promotion requirements are met.
  • BOGO or targeted promo lines are not eligible for device promotions on upgrades.
  • Other discounted lines (e.g., 3rd Line Free, Yearly Upgrade) may be eligible, depending on the specific promotion requirements.
