Payment arrangements & proof of payment: Samson widget
Use these steps when handling payment arrangements (PA) or a proof of payment (POP).
Identify accounts on payment arrangements
Review the payment arrangement indicator on either of the following screens:
- Collections widget screen
- Financial Summary Screen
View payment arrangements and history
- Select the Collection icon on the Activities toolbar to open the Collection and Payment Arrangement widget.
- Select the Payment Arrangement tab to view current payment arrangement.
- To view payment arrangement history, click the Payment Arrangement history tab in the widget.
- Filter the dates at the top of the screen to view all of the accounts PA history. The PA history screens shows the date of extraction, one day before the payment will be processed.
Create a proof of payment
- Select the Collection icon on the Activities toolbar to open the Collection and Payment Arrangement widget.
- Select the Payment Arrangement tab.
- Choose Proof of Payment option.
- Samson defaults to the minimum amount due, if the customer would like to set up a POP for more than the minimum amount then select Other Amount. All fees will be included in the installment amount.
- Select the Payment Date using either the interval drop down menu or the calendar icon, tomorrow counts as day one.
- Select the Payment Method, if the customer is eligible you can select ‘Payment Arrangement only’ to set up the Payment Arrangement without a future dated payment method.
- Enter memos in the Memo Field.
- Select and read All Terms and Conditions, then select Customer Agrees after the customer accepts.
- Click Create Payment Arrangement.
Create payment arrangements
To create regular payment arrangements, follow these steps:
- Select the Collection icon on the Activities toolbar to open the Collection and Payment Arrangement widget.
- Select the Payment Arrangement tab.
- Choose the Regular Payment Arrangement option.
- Samson defaults to the minimum amount due, if the customer would like to set up a POP for more than the minimum amount then select Other Amount. All fees will be included in the installment amount.
- Enter the first Expected Date of payment and the first Expected Payment amount.
- Select the Payment Date using either the interval drop down menu or the calendar icon, tomorrow counts as day one. Each expected date must be within policy maximum of 14 days if eligible and is system enforced.
- Select the Payment Method, if the customer is eligible you can select ‘Payment Arrangement only’ to set up the Payment Arrangement without a future dated payment method.
- Enter memos in the Memo Field.
- Select and read All Terms and Conditions, then select Customer Agrees after the customer accepts.
- Click Create Payment Arrangement.
Delete a payment arrangement or proof of payment
Available to permissioned users Seniors and above only, with the exception of POP deletion (TEX reps and Customer Resolution experts have access). To delete a payment arrangement or proof of payment, follow these steps
- Click the Collection icon on the Activities toolbar to open the Payment Arrangement widget.
- Select the Payment Arrangement tab, you will see the active payment arrangement.
- Select Cancel Payment Arrangement.
- Select the cancellation reason and then click Cancel Payment Arrangement.
- Memo the account with the reason for the payment arrangement deletion.
Create/update Future Dated Payment
TEX Experts can create, update, or delete a future date payment or scheduled payment.
Create a Future Dated Payment
- Create a proof of payment or regular arrangement if one hasn't been created.
- In the section titled Payment method, choose to use the stored banking/card information on file or add new banking/card information.
- Select and read All Terms and Conditions, then select Customer Agrees after the customer accepts.
- Click Create Payment Arrangement to save the future dated payment.
Update a Future Dated Payment
- Click the Collection icon on the Activities toolbar to open the Collection and Payment Arrangement widget screen.
- Select the Payment Arrangement tab, you will see the active payment arrangement.
- Under the section titled Payment Method, select Change to update the future dated payment information.
- The change will affect only FDP requests with pending status.
- FDP requests extracted to JPayment for processing will be gray and will not be affected by the change.
- Enter new payment information and click Update Payment Arrangement.
Delete Future Dated Payment
- Click the Collection icon on the Activities toolbar to open the Collection and Payment Arrangement widget screen.
- Select the Payment Arrangement tab, you will see the active payment arrangement.
- Under the section titled Payment Method, select Remove to delete the future dated payment information.
- Select the Reason from the drop-down list and select Delete.
- Read the note to the customer.
- Memo the account with the reason for the future dated payment deletion.
